Therefore, if you live in an area where temperature will reach above 65 degrees F, buyer is responsible for selecting the option that includes the “Heat Fee” at checkout which includes added ice packs, insulated packaging, and/or other special measures that need to be taken in order for your package to arrive unmelted. USPS has permission to leave packages at the recipient’s address if no one is there to sign for it or to leave your chocolates in your mailbox. Maison Noir is NOT responsible for bonbons stolen, damaged, or melted after they are delivered to the address specified by the customer. Therefore, please track your package using the provided tracking information and retrieve your package as soon as it is delivered. We suggest shipping to a daytime/business location when possible. We cannot be held responsible for delays or damage due to weather, packages left outside in a mailbox, incorrect address provided to us, or other circumstances beyond our control. We do not ship orders on Fridays or where they would sit in a USPS warehouse over the weekend.
